NCC Cares

NCC has established an impressive corporate citizenship record through charitable involvement at the local community and national levels. NCC primarily supports two local charities: Good Shepherd Housing and Family Services as well as Firefighters and Friends to the Rescue. NCC also participates in the United Way campaign and, in 2010, received special recognition for achieving an outstanding participation rate.

Good Shepherd Housing and Family Services is a corporation founded in 1974 as a non-profit organization working with low-income families in Fairfax County. NCC supports them in their mission to reduce homelessness, increase community support, and promote self-sufficiency.

Firefighters and Friends to the Rescue is a local charitable effort to serve children in Alexandria City and Fairfax County through backpack drives during summer months, coat drives during the fall, and toy drives at Christmas.

United Way is a non profit organization created in 1887 to serve as an agent to collect funds for local charities, as well as to coordinate relief services, counsel and refer clients to cooperating agencies, and make emergency assistance grants.

Employee Charitable Efforts

Our annual donations support many of our local hospitals and our nations’ veterans. Members of the NCC team participate in charitable events such as walkathons, on-site blood drives, and yard sales to support: American Diabetes Association, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, and Good Shepherd Housing and Family Services.
